Curriculum Development

Duties of the Curriculum Development Department:
  1. Development of academic programs to meet benchmark standards, the technology development, and the needs of the stakeholders.
  2. Review and develop curriculum to ensure the quality of the learning outcomes.
  3. Assist departments in determining programs' academic standards and benchmarks.
  4. Determine the appropriate assessment methods for programs and curriculum.
  5. Determine textbooks and references necessary for the academic courses.
  6. Design academic programs and learning packages for new majors required by the market and society needs.
  7. Conduct studies to measure learning outcomes and student achievement and progress then analyze the results and formulate appropriate recommendations.
  8. Technical and administrative supervision on the activities of the Curriculum Development Committee.
  9. Address the scientific departments the decisions of the Curriculum Development Committee after being approved.​
