The Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu was established in 1975 by a royal decree for developing the infrastructural facilities in the two industrial cities of Jubail on the Arabian Gulf and Yanbu on the Red Sea, with the objective of building an integrated industrial base that uses and develops the local natural resources.
Jubail University College, an affiliate of the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu, was established in 2006 to achieve the objectives of the Royal Commission, in developing human resources and to provide the Saudi manpower with high education and training, so that they can properly manage the Kingdom''''s growing economy in its various sectors.
Mission:
Jubail University College''''s mission is to achieve the following objectives:
- To contribute to the stability of the local community in Jubail Industrial City and to attract qualified Saudi nationals to work in and manage the city projects.
- To provide well-trained and qualified Saudi manpower to meet the requirements of industrial development projects and investment in Jubail Industrial City.
- To achieve a distinctive level of performance in the applied academic field to prepare professionals who can keep pace with and utilize global technological developments.
- To conduct applied research relevant to projects associated with the localization and development of technology, and to solve problems pertaining to that, in the various economic sectors.
- To provide opportunities for the growing numbers of high school leavers (boys and girls) to receive higher education and training in order to fulfill their future ambitions.
- Provide community service through training and education.
Instructional Programs :
Provide 1 prep-years and 4 years specialization programs leading to the Bachelor Degree, for those who possess high secondary school certificates, in technical and management fields aligned with the manpower needs in the Kingdom''''s growing economy. The Jubail University College academic calendar extends from September to June, comprising two semesters of 15 weeks each. The summer semester may be scheduled.
Schemes of Study
- Students’ population per theory and practical sections are 26, respectively.
- The Bachelor Programs include final year co-op training.
- The Bachelor programs include four-year specialized degree plans, excluding the Prep year.
- The curriculum is semester-based and uses credit hours system.
- The medium of instruction is English, except for courses in Islamic, Physical Education, Arabic and Study Skills.

Temporary Location
Jubail University College is located at the south of Jubail Industrial City, about 79 km east of Dammam on the Gulf Sea side. It is noted for its beautiful buildings and vast green surroundings. The Jubail University College commitment is to provide Saudi nationals with the academic skills required by the industrial and other economic sectors it serves. To meet this responsibility the Jubail University College is equipped with modern instructional media such as computers.
