The Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Jubail University College is fully accredited by both the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET http://w ww.abet.org and the the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA).

Mechanical Engineering is the application of mathematics, basic sciences, engineering principles and technology for the design, control and manufacture of machines in order to improve the quality of life. Students of Mechanical Engineering acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the following important technical areas: Design and Analysis of Mechanical Systems, Thermal & Fluids, Manufacturing & Materials Science, and Electromechanical Systems & Control.

The Bachelor of Science degree program in Mechanical Engineering offers broad and quality education that cultivates self-learning, critical-reasoning, problem-solving and innovative skills in our students. The department has dedicated faculty and technical staff members who ensure good delivery of Mechanical Engineering courses to achieve quality education based on the understanding of fundamental theories and application of physical sciences, mathematics, technology and engineering software for the betterment of the society.

The department has well-equipped laboratories and regularly organizes industrial visit and training to strengthen our students' understanding and learning process. In addition, our students study humanities and social sciences to understand engineers' professional ethics and social responsibilities.

The location provides ample opportunities for students and faculty members to interact with professionals in the industries in order get first-hand information about new trends and requirements for Mechanical Engineering. Feedbacks from industrial professionals, the Department Advisory Board, alumni and other stakeholders, and requirements of Engineering Accreditation agencies (ABET and NCAAA) are considered during the periodic review of Mechanical Engineering program.
